2012 IHN 5K Run/Walk

We have secured the date of Saturday, May 19 ^th with the Chattanooga Track Club to time our event.

This event is loaded on the Track Club website with some information but not the registration link yet.

We will be having planning meetings soon to get more details locked down.

Support Services

• IHN families receive help with healthcare, transportation, counseling, and support services to assist them in their transition to employment, stable housing, and self-sufficiency.
• All IHN families are transported to work, school, and childcare.
• More than 1,800 homeless persons, including 1,140 children in 590 families, have been served since IHN opened its doors in October 1998.

Number of homeless families rises by half

Rhonda Harrison and her two children became homeless after her landlord went bankrupt and her East Chattanooga duplex was put up for auction.

“It wasn’t even my fault,” Harrison said.

In just three months, the 24-year-old went from working as a photographer to being laid off and forced from her home.
